Couple hours later...

Difficult but fun. Watching the last two episodes of Twin Peaks while I work.

Scanned this piece in today...I'm going to try my hand at painting it in p. shop. You will see this again!

Back from...

Well, the family took a nice break at Cape Cod and I went to a couple shows afterward. It was a good "last hurrah" of summer in our lives. Since we got back, I just about finished the Black Roses story and started a couple new projects. Started inking Norman's Sky Pirates piece today.

We'll call today Black (Roses) Monday!

It's gonna be a lot of fun! This book SHOULD be out before the end of the year.

First Black Rose pic!

I'm very excited about this project! I will definitely show more in the coming weeks!

Ok...I got some 'splainin' to do...

Alright, it's been a couple days...let me tell you why: First, I had a lot of work to catch up on due to my busy weekend and my upcoming even busier week. Second, lost my internet access for a day and a half. Third, I was not feelin' so hot on Tuesday into Wednesday. Finally, I went to see Star Wars today and I had to teach right after.

Now, what did I get done? I was able to get a third of the loose pencils done on the Blood Rider comic, Kuster and I worked on the new Free Lunch Comics website, I started up a Facebook profile, I finished shading and scanning a piece by Katz, I set up a store on Cafepress for the studio (check it out, I'll put a link off to the right) and finally got this Bee postcard delivered to me. (Plus saw the Star Wars movie).

Saturday I will be back at this and work as usual, so I'll see ya then. BTW I'll be starting up a blog for Norman soon.

A re-touch, and a some class

Today was pretty standard...a little work in the studio, some class and a little more work in the studio. I had to do some re work on that Bee piece...oh well. Here's what I worked on during class. It'll be a while before I have a chance to resolve it. It was fun to work on though. I am a bit of a Star Wars geek. I'll prolly see that new movie next Friday.

A little silly, a little serious.

Today was fun for a number of reasons. First off, HUGE storms came through for a better part of the day. Big downpours, crazy thunder and lightning and HAIL! I can still hear the thunder in the distance. Next, I got to resolve this bumble bee character design piece for a local town. Finally, the Blood Rider. This guy's gonna keep me pretty busy over the next month...

Fun with crayons!

This critter was created by my dear friend, Yuko. She's got a couple of these cute monsters she's made up. They are fun to draw.

Last Night...

Here's the cover from last night, plus a free "Benny Hill" face. I was pretty spent. This is the furthest I will show it here until the comic comes out. I think Tom (the creator/writer/inker of Unhappy Granma) will like it.

Just finished teaching...

I don't think I'll be able to finish the cover, but I'll still try. Blogger not allowing me to upload right now pic this time.

Gettin' tired

Comin' along....I might just finish this today.

A little later, a little calmer...

Made some progress. This has happened to me before. It was a BIGGER page and I never found it again. The good news is, the second ones are always better.

Have you ever had this happen?!
