Hello Everybody!

Man, I wish I brought a camera to the office this past Monday! If you're not from the area, I gotta tell you, we got a lot of rain on Monday afternoon! I stayed here throughout the entire storm and the water was sooo high! Crazy thing was it all drained away by 7 pm though. Thank goodness, with all the Monday Night Jam buds that came.

Did office work yesterday...bills etc...then taught class over at Tootin' Hills. Official shout out for my Tootin' Hills buddies! Hope you're thinkin' about your comic stories!

Got a quick piece here for an upcoming comic show in Waterbury...I'll give you more info later!

My name is's been 15 days-

-since my last blog update. Ugh. Very's an update. I want to thank Sarge's awesome comic store for hosting us for Indy Comic Week. I want to thank Doctor Del Rio's office, The Patchwork School House and Henry Cormier for all the freelance job opportunities. Finally, I want to thank Arisia (a cool sf show up in Boston) for an awesome time!

Now I'm knee deep in the new comic that Steve Kanaras is writing and the Saturday cartooning classes have started up again! Now we're pulling students from Windsor Locks, Simsbury, East Granby and Granby! Pretty cool! Both Steve and I will begin work at Raymond Hill School again and the holiday break is over at Tootin' Hills School. As I type this up, I'm realizing why I've been so tired lately!

I will try to record a show this week so be on the lookout for that!

Workie, workie...

Ran the King of the Monster Mountain game in East Windsor today. It was a fund raising event for the BMX/Skateboard park committee. Good times, good group. Now I'm coloring slides for Dr DelRio's office. It's fun...but there's a stack of 'em. Would like to finish them tomorrow...(heh, we'll see...I think the Pats are playin')

New Classes at Free Lunch Studios!

Hello people! I've got two new classes starting up Saturday January 23rd!

Cartoon Anatomy is the basic 4 week course that will teach working lines and simple shapes, creating the foundation of character design, form, gesture, expression and a couple sneaky "tricks" we've learned along the way. Courses include our "Free Lunch" named after our comic company and newly opened studio. That will be pizza (purchased from our neighbors at New England Pizza (which is awesome)) and soft drinks, served before this class. Class starts at 10 am

The perfect follow up to Cartoon Anatomy, Creating A Cartoon World focuses on creating mood, environment, and detail to the storytelling process. The goal of this 4 week series is to take the ability of making characters, and place them into dramatic settings, convincing surroundings and exciting stories. Course will include the ever popular, "Free Lunch" from our neighbors over at New England Pizza.
Class starts at 12:30

Both of these are 4 week classes held on Saturdays - 2 hour sessions
Limited to 8 students per class, classes are $120, so call or email today!

Just a side note, Friday Drawing and Painting for Teens is still going strong every Friday at 4:00. This is a rolling enrollment class that is purchased in 10 class bundles. Only $200 !
